The producers of Mini Babybel invited Hertfordshire Catering to nominate two candidates to attend a workshop with the celebrity chef Jean-Christophe Novelli.
Our very own David Gower and Mel Levell attended the workshop with the top chef and had a great day.
They were shown several different recipe ideas, some of which were better suited to education catering than others! Ideas included a gnocchi dish using a red sweet potato which is popular in the USA and is likely (so they say) to be the next big thing in the UK.
They were each given one of his recipe books and both came away inspired, enthused and excited to see how we can apply some of what they experienced to our own education catering service.
